The Modernist – Graphic design

The Modernist is a new Graphic Design book published by Gestalten. It’s a beautiful collection off graphic design and graphic art that explores the relationship contemporary design has with past classic eras in graphic design.

Some shots from the book

Here are a few spreads from the book. I’ve also been lucky enough to have some of my own work featured in the book. If you’d like to purchase the book, you can buy it from Gestalten. It’s a big book packed with loads of amazing graphic design.

It makes a nice change to see beautiful graphic designs on paper, instead of just on the screen.
It somehow makes them seem more like art, and more valid, especially the ones that are more of the ‘classic’ design variety.
